5 Things To Know For You Engagement Photoshoot!

Yay! It’s that special time in your engagement season to take your first professional photos as a newly engaged couple. Here are our top 5 things to know before you head out and take these photos!

1.Pick a location that has a lot to offer

Our favorite places to shoot engagement photos are towns or cities that have a lot of unique spots. Old homes, movie theatre , unique alleyways, small bars or restaurants. This allows for photographers to get creative on how they may want to take photos, and gives couples a lot more options to choose from. 

2.Have 2-3 different outfit options

We can’t stress this enough! We are constantly being accessed what couple should wear for their engagement photos. We always stress we want the couples to feel comfortable and bring a few different options. Something casual, something dressy and possibly something formal. We want for our couples to bring a variety of outfits!

3.Bring some props maybe your dog!

Props are an absolute must for engagement shoots! A lot of couples quite literally don’t know what to do with their hands. We don’t want them to feel awkward, and having props tends to lighten the mood after a few shots. We recommend bringing a hat, some wine and our personal favorite your dog! 

4.Bring some inspiration photos

Pinterest is a wedding photographers best friend! We take a lot of our ideas from inspiration photos, and we love to see what our newly engaged couples are wanting their photos to look like. We will always ask for our couples to provide inspiration photos to work with.

5.Relax! Let the photographer do all the work!

This is the most exciting and special time in your life, and should not be stressful at all! Just give us your location and inspiration while we do all of the work!
